Residential Training

Residential training is an asset to owners as it allows us to initiate their dogs training and give them a head start on helping their dogs become well mannered, socially acceptable pets. Dogs will come and stay with us at the centre for an agreed length of time, usually 2- 3 weeks. Residential training is an intensive training route which enables us to start your dog off in the right direction which you can then continue once they are back at home.

Bespoke training

Before your dog comes to stay with us we will assess him/her. After an in-depth discussion about your specific problems and requirements, we will advise and tailor a realistic individual training programme with your desired outcome in mind.

What you can expect

Once we have created your dogs bespoke programme we will have a discussion about what you can realistically and practically expect from residential training. It is important to note that after your dog has been with us he/she will return having being taught in a positive manner the obedience exercises agreed. Your dog will leave us with a solid foundation in place and an understanding of particular commands. During their time with us the dogs will learn to respond to commands and we will establish a communication route which you can then utilise after they have left. This means that you will now be able to communicate with your dog and know that he understands what you are asking him to do. It is important to note that a dog’s education needs to be continued and that you will need to follow any programmes we devise consistently after the course.

What happens while your dog is away?

At our centre outside Porthmadog North Wales, we have an exclusive licensed training and boarding kennels. While your dog is with us they will stay in one of our kennels, all of which have covered, outdoor runs and are housed within a heated building. During their stay they will be taken out regularly for walks and training sessions in the beautiful Snowdonia mountain range. We are fortunate to have expansive land which includes training fields, agility fields and even a lake where dogs can take a dip. We make sure that all dogs have an exciting and enriching stay here at the centre. Our tailored programmes will be undertaken in our training fields and in other locations pertinent to your dogs training needs, for example in towns or busy areas. Extra activities such as agility can be included on request.
